During the week 11th - 16th August between 5,000 and 6,000 young people aged between 12-19 will be gathering for a weeks camping at the Norfolk Showground for meetings with worship and teaching, sports, social activities, music, gigs, and much more.

Chloe Smith I'm looking to support any projects like this across the Norwich North area or across the city. I think it's incredibly important so I would actually urge, as a new MP, if there are other projects out there like this, please do get in touch - I'd really love to hear about them.

As a part of this event, teams of young volunteers are available to help serve local churches in Norfolk in their outreach and community work. These teams are lining up to be sent out to projects all across Norwich and Norfolk during mid August. Just think, with your local knowledge and these volunteers what could be achieved for the benefit of your church and your local community.

Projects that have been run in the past include: clearing up litter and rubbish; running sports activities for local young people; running a kids holiday club; tidying up gardens for local residents; painting over graffiti; a community fun day; car washing... the possibilities are endless.

It is also provides great opportunity to partner with your local Council, Police, Churches and Community Groups to make a positive and lasting difference in our communities.

Norfolk Police We are fully supporting the work which the youths will be carrying out within the neighbourhood. It shows that not all youngsters cause trouble and anti-social behaviour and are willing to work hard and give something back to the community.
